2ID Living Patch Insignia for Collectors
The Second Infantry Division (2ID) Living Patch is an interesting and rousing practice inside the division. It involves hundreds of soldiers resembling the division’s recognizable Indianhead patch in human form. We also have 2ID Combined Division Patch
A Tradition Rooted in History
When troops from the 2ID stood for a picture in the design of the division’s patch in 1925, the idea was born. Since its resuscitation in 2009, this custom has grown to represent the cohesiveness and pride of the unit.
Creating the Living Patch
The development of the living patch is a painstakingly organized and carried out process. Together, soldiers from different units create the recognizable Indianhead pattern. In order to guarantee that the formation is precise and visually arresting, hours of planning and coordination are frequently required.
A Symbol of Unity
The living patch is a powerful reminder of the 2ID’s unity and camaraderie, in addition to its visual impact. It strengthens the bonds between soldiers and the division’s identity.
A Legacy for Future Generations
The 2ID will always have a legacy thanks to the living patch tradition. Soldiers become a part of the division’s history by participating in this event, connecting them to previous generations of soldiers.
