Divisional Patches:
101st Airborne Division: Screaming Eagle
82nd Airborne Division: Winged Skull

Unit Insignia:
Other units that also had their patches included the smaller formations of divisions include regiments and battalions. .Patterns used on these patches were frequently in the form of numerical or letter combinations indicating the name of the unit, as well as a unique emblem.
Theater of Operations Patches:
These patches described the theater of operation where the soldier operated, for example the Europe theater or the pacific theater.
Campaign Ribbons:
Even though campaign ribbons were not patches per se, they were issued to soldiers that fought in particular campaigns or battles. These ribbons were most commonly worn on the uniform and could comprise, insignia of the unit.
