Description
Hawaii Army Patch Official Military
The U.S. Army has a long history of action in the Pacific theatre in general and in Hawaii in particular. Though there is no such thing as the ‘Hawaii Army Patch,’ that identify a particular mission or formation, a number of patches are linked to the formations based in Hawaii or those that are involved in the Pacific theater of operations. We also have Jungle Patch Army Military Insignia
Here are some examples:
25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning): This division is known as the “Tropic Lightning Division” for it is deployed in Hawaii. It has a quite unusual emblem – a red bolt of lightning on the green background, which clearly indicates that this organization operates in tropics and is quickly deployable.
Other Unit Patches: In general each unit has its own set of patches, but for units in Hawaii like those in the Schofield Barracks, or the Fort Shafter depending on the unit or battalion they will have their own unique patches. These patches can have local appeal or be related to Hawaiin culture in any way.
Campaign Ribbons: Campaign ribbons for World War II Pacific, Korea or other campaigns can be worn on their uniforms and soldiers who participated in those will have been awarded it. These ribbons may include specific recognition of campaign or battle fought in Pacific.
